📱 App Centre: Add Download Link
Overview
The Add Download Link page lets you create a new tracked download source.
This is useful when you want to know where app download traffic is coming from.
What this page does
From this page, you can:
- Create a name for the source
- Create the query value used in the URL
- Save the new tracked download link
How to use Add Download Link
1. Enter a name
In the Name field, enter a clear label for internal use.
Examples:
- Facebook Spring Ad
- Email Campaign April
- Event Poster
- Shop Counter QR
2. Enter a query value
In Query Value, enter the tracking code to be added to the URL.
Important:
Only letters and numbers are allowed.
No spaces or symbols should be used.
Examples:
- facebookspring
- emailapril
- event2026
3. Save the source
Click Save to create the new source query.
It will then appear in the Download Link Source Queries list.
Best practice tips
Use simple query values that are easy to recognise later
Keep the Name more descriptive than the query value
Use one source per campaign so your hit counts remain meaningful
