📝 Publishx: Standard Post
Overview
A Standard Post is a regular article or news post with a featured image, short summary, and full content.
This is the best option for:
- news updates
- announcements
- app-only articles
- editorial content
- promotional write-ups
Main fields
Featured Image
Upload the main image for the post.
This image is used in the feed and at the top of the article page.
Choose a clear, high-quality image that represents the content well.
Post Title
The main headline of the post.
This is also used to generate the post slug automatically.
Feed URL Link
Optional.
If this is filled in, the See more link from the newsfeed will go to this URL instead of opening the full article.
Use this when you want the feed item to link directly to:
- a product page
- a campaign page
- an external article
- another website page
Short Content
A short summary or teaser for the post.
This is very important because it is used:
- as the preview text in feeds
- as the website teaser for App Only posts
- as supporting text under the title
Keep it short, clear, and enticing.
Full Content
The full article content.
This is what users see when they open the full post.
If the post is set to App Only, website visitors will not see this full content.
Hoofpick Biz Form block
This allows you to generate and insert a shortcode for a Hoofpick Biz form into the full content area.
You can choose:
- Embed
- Popup
This is useful if you want to place a form directly inside an article.
CTA URL
Optional.
Adds a call-to-action button to the post.
CTA Label
The text shown on the CTA button.
Example:
- Shop Now
- Learn More
- Book Here
Category
Assign the post to a category so it can be grouped correctly in the frontend.
Language
Assign the content language if you use multiple languages.
Meta Title
Used for SEO and social sharing.
Meta Description
A short search and social description for the post.
Meta Keywords
Optional supporting keywords.
Status
Controls whether the post is live or not.
Only published or active posts should be used for content that needs to be visible.
Publication Date
Sets the post date.
This affects ordering in the feed.
Visibility
Choose whether the post is:
- App Only
- Website and App
This is one of the most important settings in the form.
Best practice
Useage:
- Short Content as the teaser
- Full Content as the main article
- App Only for premium or app-engagement content
- Website and App for content you want fully visible everywhere
